'Gray Hair' Career Transition Conference Coming To Ann Arbor: Gray Hair Management, with the support of Ann Arbor Spark, will host "Charting Your Course," a career transition conference, Tuesday, Feb. 22, at Spark Central, 330 E. Liberty, Ann Arbor. Charting Your Course is perfect for the working professional who is in transition, individual attendees who are looking for a better job or contemplating a career change, and employers looking for seasoned professionals. The event will feature several speakers providing education on topics related to career transitioning such as creating a marketing handbill, interviewing skills and job searching techniques. Speakers will include Robert Pasick, founder of Leaders Connect; Scott Kane, founder of Gray Hair Management; Beverly Chana, president of Professional Career Services; Zeno Wisniewski, senior career counselor at Gray Hair Management; and Kendra Kerr, career transition and business coach. Online Tech Shares Cloud Computing Example at AAVUG: The system administrator of Ann Arbor-based Online Tech Inc., Steve VanTil, will present his experience moving Online Tech's internal IT infrastructure to a private cloud computing platform for the Ann Arbor Virtualization Users Group on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011 at 6 p.m. In addition, Online Tech will be giving away two free cloud servers to demonstrate how easy it is to get started with cloud computing. VMware vExpert Rod Mach, principal of HiperLogic, is hosting the event and will present his "Step by Step Guide to Deploying a Private Cloud" at the AAVUG meeting later this month. The event's focus will be to show its members how to install and implement a private cloud at a data center. VanTil, a VMware certified professional and systems architect for Online Tech's private cloud offering, has been with Online Tech since 2009. Also a Microsoft certified Enterprise Admin, Steve is an expert in Linux, VMware, and Microsoft. He will share his vast knowledge of virtualization technology and how Online Tech made the switch from a traditional server infrastructure to the private cloud.
