Electric Ford Delivery Van Rolling Out

The Royal Oak hybrid and electric truck powertrain developer Azure Dynamics, AM General and Ford Motor Co. will celebrate the initial production and delivery of the first Ford Transit Connect Electric commercial van Tuesday.

The three companies brought the innovative all-electric delivery van to market in just 13 months after the initial collaboration announcement.

Executives from the three companies will describe the ForceDrive powertrain technology, assembly process, future production plans and what's driving a significant number of North American companies to order Transit Connect Electrics for their fleets. 

Guests are welcome to tour the facility and drive the Transit Connect Electric at the conclusion of the remarks. 

The event begins at 10 a.m. at AM General, 12050 Hubbard Drive in Livonia.
