DSO Presents 'ABBA The Concert'

DETROIT (WWJ) - The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) will present ABBA The Concert at Orchestra Hall on Wednesday, May 4 at 8 pm in their tribute to the music of one of the greatest pop phenomenons: ABBA. 

This special performance is sponsored by DTE Energy Foundation and MGM Grand and will feature iconic hits such as "Mamma Mia," "S.O.S," "Money, Money, Money," "The Winner Takes All," "Waterloo," "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme" and "Dancing Queen."

Named "the best ABBA tribute band in the world" by the Official ABBA Fan-Club, ABBA The Concert was formed in 1996 and quickly became known for its fantastic ABBA-sound and stunning live "ABBA-esque" performance. 

The group has toured the U.S., Europe and Asia extensively performing in more than 20 countries.

During these tours, the show has always consisted of two original members of the original ABBA rhythm section. These fantastic players have consisted of saxophone player Ulf Andersson, legendary bass guitarist Mike Watson, guitarists Mats Ronander, Lasse Wellander and Janne Schaffer, and drummers Ola Brunkert and Roger Palm.
