Diana Ross Surprises Crowd At Opening
DETROIT (WWJ) - A surprise appearance by Motown star Diana Ross has helped Indianapolis celebrate the opening of its new downtown Marriott Hotel.
Ross performed a number of her iconic songs Saturday, including ``I'm Coming Out,'' ``Baby Love,'' ``Stop! In the Name of Love'' and ``Love Child.''
The performance was a secret to most of the 1,000 partiers until show time.
The 33-floor, 1,005-room hotel is the last phase of a $450 million Marriott Place complex.
