Detroit Tigers Roster Report 5-12-11

MEDICAL WATCH:

--3B Don Kelly (sore right foot) left the May 9 game. He didn't play May 10, though he was available.

--RHP Joel Zumaya (right elbow surgery in July 2010) experienced pain in the elbow during his Feb. 27 spring debut, and he went on the 15-day disabled list March 30. He was transferred to the 60-day DL on April 18. He will undergo exploratory surgery May 10, and he might be out for the season. Zumaya had the screw in his repaired right elbow replaced, the joint cleaned out and was told nothing could be detected as the cause of his lingering elbow pain and will be evaluated sometime in June.

--2B Carlos Guillen (left knee microfracture surgery in September 2010) went on the 15-day disabled list March 30. He remained at the team's Florida camp in early April to rehab. By late April, he had begun running, and he could get more baseball-related activities in early May.
