Detroit Tigers Roster Report

MEDICAL WATCH:

--RF Magglio Ordonez (sore right Achilles tendon) was removed from the April 11 game and will be out for a few days, manager Jim Leyland said. Ordonez says he's ready to return to action after missing four games with a sore right ankle. Leyland said he likely would play Ordonez either April 16 or April 17.

--RHP Ryan Perry (left eye infection) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 5. Perry made a successful rehab appearance for Class AAA Toledo. He threw 27 pitches with only seven out of the strike zone in 1 1/3 innings of work. He gave up three hits and had a strikeout. He is scheduled to pitch an inning April 18 and then rejoin Detroit and come off the disabled list April 20 in Seattle.

--RHP Joel Zumaya (right elbow surgery in July 2010) experienced pain in the elbow during his Feb. 27 spring debut, and he went on the 15-day disabled list March 30. He was given clearance to resume a throwing program in early April but felt discomfort in his first throwing session April 7. He is scheduled to consult with Dr. James Andrews on April 18 to determine if he has nerve damage.

--2B Carlos Guillen (left knee microfracture surgery in September 2010) went on the 15-day disabled list March 30. He remained at the team's Florida camp to rehab, and it's unclear when he will make his season debut.
