Detroit Lions Strategy And Personnel 10-3-11

PLAYER NOTES

--QB Matthew Stafford struggled through the first three quarters. He wound up with his lowest passer rating of the season - 71.9. He completed 21 of 43 passes for 240 yards with an interception and two touchdowns. It was his first game in his hometown Dallas since he turned pro. He said the Cowboys' defense had more to do with his struggles than any nerves.

--RT Gosder Cherilus returned to his starting post and played well. He was benched last week.

--DE Willie Young sacked QB Tony Romo on the Cowboys final drive. It kept alive the Lions' streak of having a sack in 24 straight games.

--PK Jason Hanson had 33- and 51-yard field goals. He's now 10-for-10 on the season.

--CB Chris Houston has an interception in three of the four games. His 56-yard pick-six was redemption. He was burned early on a 25-yard touchdown by Dez Bryant.
