Delta Air Lines issues weather advisory for travel to and from DTW
(CBS DETROIT) - Delta Air Lines says its flights to and from Detroit Metropolitan Airport Wednesday and Thursday may be affected by winter weather moving into the eastern half of the United States.
In that announcement, Delta urged passengers to check flight status frequently in the hours leading up to departure. Detroit is one of the major connection hubs for the airline.
A mix of snow and sleet is in the forecast for Wednesday night into early Thursday for parts of Southeast Michigan, including Wayne County.
In addition to DTW, Delta said flights out of several other airports are on its weather alert list. Those airports include Boston, Chicago O'Hare, Chicago Midway, Fort Wayne, Washington-Dulles and Washington-Reagan.
Rebooked or canceled travel options for scheduled flights, should those steps be needed, are available from the airline's website.
