DEARBORN, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) — A 14-year-old girl who had been missing for a week has been found safe, police said.

Arianna Burch had been missing from the 24000 block of Carlysle St. since Wednesday, March 20.

Dearborn police initially posted on Facebook requesting assistance in the search for Burch last Friday, and on Tuesday, they said they were still looking for her.

Then, police said Burch had been safely located on Wednesday, March 27.

"We thank the community for doing their part in helping us locate Arianna," Dearborn Police Commander Timothy McHale said. "With credit to the vigilance and work of our officers, we are happy to report an end to this week-long search that, thankfully, resulted in her safe return."
