Dearborn Man Gets 23-45 Years In Basketball Shooting
DETROIT (AP) - A Dearborn man has been sentenced to 23 to 45 years in prison in the fatal shooting of another man following a fight during a pickup basketball game.
Fadi Hassan Faraj was sentenced Monday in Wayne County Circuit Court in Detroit.
He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder last month.
Faraj originally was charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of 23-year-old Hassan Mustapha Zeidan of Dearborn.
The men were playing basketball last July in a Dearborn parking lot. Zeidan was shot multiple times with a gun retrieved from a parked car.
