'Critical Accident' On Ecorse Road
ROMULUS (WWJ) - Ecorse Road in Romulus is open again, after being closed for several hours because of a serious accident. Traffic was backed up, Wednesday afternoon, following the crash on Ecorse, eastbound between Middlebelt and Inkster Road.
Jackie Akins, who works at the Madco Truck Plaza near the accident site, tells WWJ she heard that a pickup truck collided with a semi truck steel hauler.
Speaking to WWJ Newsradio 950s' Beth Fisher at the scene, Romulus police officer would only say that it was a "critical accident," and wouldn't give any further details except to say that they were investigating.
No injuries had been reported at of 4:30 p.m.
