Court Order: No 'Book Money' To Kilpatrick's Family
DETROIT (WWJ) - A Wayne County judge signed an order on Monday that prohibits the publisher of Kwame Kilpatrick's soon to be released "tell-all" book from giving any money to the former mayor, or any of his friends, relatives or representatives until his restitution owed to the City of Detroit is paid.
The order also asks publisher Creative Publishing Consultants to disclose any advance payments made to the former Mayor, his family, friends or agents.
"Surrendered! The Rise, Fall and Revelation of Kwame Kilpatrick," is set for release Aug. 1... at a price of $26.95 a copy.
