Compuware Publishes White Paper On Application Performance Testing
Detroit-based Compuware Corp. (Nasdaq: CPWR) has published a new white paper that focuses on performance and load testing as integral parts of the application lifecycle.
Authored by performance testing expert Scott Barber, this paper draws parallels between performance testing of software systems and a person's growth, development, and eventual decline from conception to the gravestone.
Performance testing and load testing are primarily regarded as episodic activities – done once in the lifecycle for a given application. This white paper focuses on how application performance testing throughout the application lifecycle adds value and mitigates risk. It discusses how to integrate performance testing into all phases of the application lifecycle and the additional benefits that can be achieved by Web load testing early and often in the application lifecycle.
