Compuware, Dataguise Partner To Ensure Data Privacy During Application Testing
DETROIT -- Compuware Corp. (Nasdaq:CPWR) and Dataguise, a provider of enterprise security intelligence products, said they are partnering to provide a comprehensive privacy solution to protect employee and customer personally identifiable information.
As part of this partnership, Compuware will resell technology from Dataguise along with the Compuware Test Data Privacy Solution.
To ensure the reliability of enterprise applications, organizations need to fully test those applications prior to deployment. Most companies pull test data directly from their production systems. This sensitive information is then exposed to internal and outsourced development and QA teams. The Compuware Test Data Privacy solution enables organizations to protect sensitive and confidential information thereby reducing the risk of a costly and reputation-damaging data breach.
DgDiscover for Compuware augments the Test Data Privacy system, lowering the total cost of a comprehensive solution to fully protect sensitive data across the enterprise. While Test Data Privacy extracts relationally intact subsets of data and disguises them for protection in non-production environments, DgDiscover for Compuware streamlines and automates the process of identifying and locating sensitive information.
"Organizations are working to fully test applications before they are moved into production," said Manmeet Singh, CEO, Dataguise. "Our partnership with Compuware will enable organizations to discover, extract and disguise sensitive data to ensure the privacy of employees and customers."
Compuware's Test Data Privacy Solution leverages the industry-leading strength of its File-AID product line. The recently announced 3.1 release streamlines the creation and maintenance of disguise rules, while providing increased transparency for compliance-level personnel. An organization's compliance-level personnel now have a convenient tool to directly define the rules for disguising data. In addition, comprehensive coverage reports assist by giving visibility to the expected results that are then confirmed with the final audit reports.
"Protecting sensitive customer information is critical for all organizations regardless of size, industry or country," said Kimberly King, vice president for partnerships and alliances at Compuware. "Our partnership with Dataguise is an important step forward in delivering a broader solution offering to our customers to enable them to test and deploy applications with confidence."
Compuware will highlight several notable advancements in test data management — all available through the company's Test Data Management Solution — in a Webcast Thursday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. EST.
