Two college students are hospitalized after being shot in Ypsilanti Township overnight. 

Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department spokesman Derrick Jackson tells WWJ Newsradio 950 it happened around 9 p.m. Wednesday, following a fight outside a home on Briardale Court, near Willow Run Airport.

The two victims are 19-year-old males from the Ypsilanti area. One is a student at Eastern Michigan University, and the other attends Washtenaw Community College.

Police are looking for suspect, and possible witnesses, as an investigation continues.

Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department spokesman Derrick Jackson says they don't have much to go on.

"It doesn't appear to be a totally random act. There was some interaction. There was some altercation that happened," Jackson said.

Both victims were taken to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Their condition wasn't immediately known.
