Charlie Langton: Matthew Moroun Says His Father Being Thrown In Jail Is Part Of A Big Government Conspiracy

Reacting to Wayne County Judge Prentis Edwards ordering "Matty" Moroun and Dan Stamper of the Ambassador Bridge Company jailed for not meeting construction deadlines on the so-called "Gateway Project", Matthew Moroun called in to the Charlie Langton show to give the Moroun side of the story. Needless to say, he's furious. According to Matthew Moroun, this action by this judge was personal and part of a larger conspiracy relating to the battle over a new international bridge that Moroun wants to build but Gov. Snyder wants to construct with public funds. He claims that the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is standing in the way of the construction being done by not opening freeway ramps in the area, thus throwing them into contempt of court on purpose. The way the law is written, the judge has the sole discretion to take action in this case and can keep them in jail until the work gets done.
