Armored Truck Stolen In Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police have recovered an armored vehicle that was stolen during a robbery.
Detroit police said it all unfolded at 7:15 a.m. Monday in the 6400 block of Strong -- when two masked men approached workers servicing an ATM and disarmed them.
The men fled in the workers' armored vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.
The truck was found at Sherwood and I-94, with one very important thing missing: All of the money.
WWJ Newsradio 950's Mike Campbell reports the van is owned by an armored car company, though it looks like a stock, unmarked, white Ford E-Series cargo van.
