Brandon Inge Involved In Slippery Six-Car Crash

FREEDOM TWP. (WWJ) - Detroit Tiger Brandon Inge was involved in a six-car accident Tuesday morning near Ann Arbor.

Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office spokesman Derrick Jackson said the crash took place at Parker and Scio Church Roads, south of 94 in Freedom Township, when the driver of the first car tried to stop at a stop sign but slid on the ice.

"They actually first struck the second vehicle that was on South Church Road. They continued through the intersection and they struck three other vehicles that were stopped at the stop sign, heading north on Parker Road,"  Jackson told WWJ Newsradio 950. "So, that would be a total of five vehicles."

"That fifth vehicle, sitting on Parker Road, actually once it was bumped, hit a vehicle that was right behind it. So, that's how we had six vehicles involved," he explained.

Sources said Inge was the driver who caused the accident, but Jackson would not confirm this.

Jackson said there was some major and some minor vehicle damage, but no one was injured.

No traffic tickets were issued.
