Body Found Burning At Bonfire In Northern Michigan

THOMPSONVILLE, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a woman's body was found burning next to a bonfire at a cabin in the northwestern Lower Peninsula.

The Traverse City Record-Eagle reports that 63-year-old Patricia Henry of Williamsburg died Saturday at property in Thompsonville that she owned with her husband.

Authorities say says the couple started a bonfire and the husband went to sleep. Authorities say he awoke and found her body next to the bonfire pit.

An autopsy was planned. There was no immediate indication of foul play. Thompsonville is located about 25 miles southwest of Traverse City.
