Bloomfield Twp. Cop Narrowly Escapes Being Crushed By Cars (VIDEO)

OAKLAND COUNTY (WWJ) - In a matter of seconds a routine stop for a Bloomfield Township police office turned into a harrowing escape from a car careening out of control.

On Saturday, an officer stood just outside of a car which had slid off the road on I-75 near Adams Road - speaking to the driver.

The dashcam from the officer's car shows a car coming into view and crashing into the stranded car and the officer disappears from view. The officer narrowly escaped being crushed by the oncoming car, driven by a teen.

The officer was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for his non-life threatening injuries and is expected to fully recover.
