Bill's Blog: A New Pistons Low
Watching the "Piston's Six" lose to the Philadelphia 76ers Friday night, might be the lowest this franchise has sunk in my memory. Clearly, the players have zero respect for head coach John Kuester and there are no signs that is going to change anytime soon. Friday morning, in an assumed group protest, seven players decided for one reason or another, to attend part of the practice or miss practice all together. Kue's response was that none of those players would get into the game Friday night. Austin Daye, Tracy McGrady, Ben Wallace, Chris Wilcox and Rodney Stuckey were all in uniform on the bench while Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince were not on the bench in uniform. To make matters worse, Coach Kue was ejected in the second quarter. Should he have stuck it out, not get thrown out of the game and supported the six players who did play (pretty admirably, if you ask me)?...Hell, yes he should have! But what happened on the bench when he was tossed is inexcusable. Several players including Tracy McGrady and Ben Wallace were laughing as Kue left the floor. Big Ben even covering his mouth so as to not appear "too disrespectful". What an absolute joke these players are. Is John Kuester the right fit? Apparently not but geez, these guys make millions of dollars to be professionals. What a disgrace. How childish, immature, spoiled, ungrateful . unacceptable and all around ridiculous. It tells me as a fan, "I don't care about winning or for that matter losing. Just gimme that paycheck!"...Well, forget you guys. I can go hang out with nieces if I want to watch babies pout.
