Ben Wallace Preparing For Day In Court
BLOOMFIELD TWP. (WWJ) - Detroit Piston Ben Wallace is preparing for a day in court.
Wallace is facing not only drunk driving, but also weapons charges after a search of his SUV turned up an unloaded pistol in a backpack. All after Wallace's Escalade was pulled over in Bloomfield Township for driving erractically on Telegraph near Long Lake.
A subsequent field test determined Wallace was over the blood alcohol limit of .08. Wallace is currently out on personal bond. While the drunk driving charge is a misdemeanor, the weapons charge is a felony. The gun is registered to a family member of Wallace.
