Avoid Tickets: Keep Parked Vehicles Off Dearborn Streets On Trash Day
DEARBORN (WWJ) - The city of Dearborn is warning its residents to keep their parked vehicles off the street on public service days, or face a fine.
City officials say public service days will start-up again this week on April 1 and last through Nov. 30. The city will provide "critical services" on public service days, which coincide with a neighborhood's trash day, such as street sweeping tree-trimming, and sewer maintenance.
To ensure services are provided in a safe, effective manner, city officials are warning residents not to park on the street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on their designated public service day. Residents are also reminded that they must keep trash can, recycle bins and yard waste containers off the street on their neighborhood's public service day.
Officials say vehicles parked on the street between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on a public service day will be ticketed. Note that you cannot park your vehicle across the sidewalk or on your easement or lawn.
