Ann Arbor Spark Now Web Streaming Events

ANN ARBOR -- Ann Arbor Spark said Tuesday that it was now offering free, interactive Web streaming of its events.

Said Paul Krutko, Ann Arbor Spark president and CEO: "Live Web streaming expands our reach to those business owners for whom attending an event in person just isn't convenient, so that they can participate remotely. We are particularly proud that the streaming is interactive -- viewers can submit questions for our speakers, so the experience is both personal and valuable. Business owners also have the ability to access our content after the event, via our new video library."

During an event offered by Ann Arbor Spark, Web streaming will be accessible via the events page. To access the event, users will go to www.AnnArborUSA.org, click on the "events" tab and select "live events".

After an event, a Webcast will be archived at www.AnnArborUSA.org/events/video-library. You can also find archived events by clicking "events" from the Ann Arbor Spark homepage and selecting "video library."

Ann Arbor Spark offers more than 150 events annually, including the popular Marketing Roundtable, Michigan Energy Forum and Business Law and Order series. Ann Arbor Spark's programming is designed to deliver expert advice to growing businesses on a range of topics.

"The topics covered in each event of the Marketing Roundtable series address universal truths of marketing -- the basics, and not-so-basics, a successful organization needs to address," said Sean Hickey, chief operating officer of PWB Marketing Communications and a Marketing Roundtable moderator.  "By making these sessions available on-demand, business owners and marketers who couldn't attend are able to stay up-to-speed on the latest thinking from industry experts."

The next events available by Web streaming are the Marketing Roundtable panel on customer engagement, moderated by Elizabeth Parkinson, senior vice president of marketing and communications from the Michigan Economic Development Corp.  The Marketing Roundtable will be held Sept. 13 from 5:40-7 p.m. On Sept. 20 from noon to 1:30 p.m., a brown bag lunch update on the Michigan Pre-Seed Capital Fund and Michigan Microloan Fund Program, hosted by Skip Simms, Ann Arbor Spark senior vice president, will be streamed online.
