NILES, Mich. (WWJ) - An Amtrak train heading to Pontiac from Chicago derails sending several people to area hospitals.

UPDATE: As of 8:30 p.m. Amtrak confirmed that the tracks had still not been cleared.

There were more than 170 passengers and four crew members on board when Train number 350 ran off the tracks shortly after 10:00 Sunday morning. About a dozen people were taken to local hospitals to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
