A Job Well Done
Do you know this man? You may not recognize the face, but if you've watched CBS and our sister station CW 50, you've seen his work.
Glynn Chisholm is a senior designer responsible for many of WWJ-TV and WKBD-TV graphics and most recently the set design for First Forecast Mornings. He's held that position for 40 years! Now it's time to say goodbye.
This week, Glynn formally embraced retirement.
At the station party for Glynn, I reminded him what a help he was to me when I first started at CBS more than two years ago. Together, Glynn and I fashioned the weather graphics for First Forecast Mornings. The Glynn I met was quiet, humble, creative and dedicated to getting the job done right.
At his retirement party, Glynn reminisced about his graphics team, individually introducing each person and thanking them for their work. Many of his team had since moved on to other jobs, but as a testament to Glynn, they came from all over to praise him.
So we thank you today Glynn for all the "Can you change this one last time?" (for the fourth time), "I need this today", (when you got the assignment at 3pm), "Did you do the client's logo?" (of course you did!) You endured all 40 years with professionalism, patience and a smile.
Job well done.
