$2,500 Reward For Tips After Man Gunned Down Outside Detroit Family Dollar
DETROIT (WWJ) - A $2,500 reward is being offered for tips in the case of a man murdered last month outside a dollar store on Detroit's west side.
Police say DaJuan Arrington — who was also known as "Juan," "Big Juan" and "Dudda" — was killed in the parking lot of the Family Dollar at 12603 Dexter Ave., south of W. Davison St. between Leslie St. and Fullerton Ave. just before 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
According to Crime Stoppers, Arrington was on his way to his fiancé's house that night when he stopped at the store. As he was leaving, he was shot multiple times next to his tan GMC Yukon Denali.
Police have not talked about possible suspects or a motive for the killing.
Arrington attended Central High School in Detroit, where he participated in the arts program, and then got a job as an inspector with Engineered Quality Solutions in Highland Park. He loved to cool and entertain guests while watching sports. Arrington had recently bought too houses that he planned to repair and then put back on the market.
The cash reward is payable upon an arrest in this case. Crime Stoppers says if the tip comes in before midnight Tuesday, Dec. 13, an additional $1,000 will be added, raising the total reward to $3,500.
