One is for the police and fire departments. If passed, the city would levy 2 mills for three years. It's estimated to raise $2.6 million in
Harrison Township:
So the township then put on the ballot a 1.5-mill, three-year temporary millage just for fire services.
If not three firefighters would be laid.
Another 1.5 mill for to build a public library.
In Allen Park...nearly double the millage rate for police and fire...
Taxes are projected to rise an average of 74 cents daily for residents.
If not 15 firefighters and six police officers, along with furloughs for EMS
