2 Arrested In Beauty Shop Break-In
A suspected burglary is hospitalized after being shot by a Detroit Police officer early Monday morning. It happened at Amy's Wig and Beauty Supply on 6 Mile Road when officer's responded to an alarm call.
Police say when they arrived, one officer was confronted by two men -- one of which leaped at him and attempted to take his gun. That's when the shot was fired, striking one of the suspects.
The injured suspect was reported to be in "temporary serious" condition late Monday morning.
The second suspect was arrested.
The business owner told a reporter WDIV-TV he's experienced several break-ins, and relies on security cameras and an alarm system. He said he believe his businesses is bring targeted because the beauty supplies can easily be resold on the street.
