Douglas County parents express concerns over school consolidation plan
Families in Douglas County are reacting after learning about consolidation plans that would close three elementary schools in the district. Starting in the 2026-2027 school year, students at Saddle Ranch, Heritage and Acres Green Elementary Schools will be closed and the students will be consolidated into other schools.
