Colorado's proposed assault weapon ban to be discussed by lawmakers Wednesday
House Bill 1230 would ban the future sale, manufacture and transfer of firearms with certain features in Colorado. It would not ban ownership among people who already own guns described by the law. "Assault weapon" does not currently have a codified definition in Colorado state law.
