West Ridge Elementary Students Win School Challenge

THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4)- West Ridge Elementary School students are celebrating this weekend. They won April's Fit 4 Colorado School Challenge Competition.

Each month, CBS4 gives $1,000 to a school that goes above and beyond to encourage healthy lifestyles.

West Ridge kids did just that, like adding more protein, fruits and veggies in their lunches. The school also offers a get fit club for all grades.
