DENVER (CBS4) - Denver Public Works is using a new gadget that is meant to keep our water clean.
A video the agency posted to their Twitter page shows a concrete box in the RiNo neighborhood with UV lights that zap any E. coli in the water.
The treated water then flows into the South Platte River.
Public Works officials say the vault is helping the city meet its 2020 sustainability goal.
It plans to install more of the UV lights around the city in the future.
