Upgrades To Underground Trains At DIA Will Mean Some Adjustments For Travelers
DENVER (CBS4) - Some upgrades to the trams at Denver International Airport could impact air travelers over the next few weeks.
The underground trains will be closed during the overnight hours on selected days for hardware and software upgrades.
Closures will happen from about 1 a.m. until 4 a.m. on the following days:
Oct. 20-23
Oct. 27-30
Nov. 3-6
Nov. 10-13
Nov. 17-20
The airport says most overnight flights take off from the A concourse, so passengers will have to use the security checkpoint that leads to the walking bridge to the A gate during the closure times.
Additional Resources
DIA released the following statement about those who might use the B and C concourses during the closure times:
It is possible that a few flights will arrive at the B and C Gates during this timeframe; those passengers should expect to be bused to the A Concourse for access via the pedestrian bridge to Jeppesen Terminal. Airport personnel and signage will assist with way finding. When possible, airlines may deplane passengers on the A Concourse for easier access to the pedestrian bridge leading to Jeppesen Terminal.
