Trump Protesters Cause Traffic Delays
DENVER (CBS4)- Dozens of President Trump protesters took to the streets on Friday night just hours after the inauguration. It was the second large anti-Trump protest in Denver on Friday.
The protesters started with a small group at the state Capitol on Friday evening. Some carried signs.
The crowd began to grow in size and then was on the move making their way from Civic Center Park to Interstate 25 and Colfax Avenue.
One person was arrested.
Police followed the protesters and conducted rolling road closures in the areas where the protesters marched.
The Auraria Campus was placed on security lockdown and all exterior doors were locked as a precaution during the protests.
The protesters started to disperse at 8:30 p.m. and shortly after police cleared the scene.
