Tornado Touches Down In Adams County
ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A tornado has been confirmed in Adams County. It touched down after 3 p.m. Friday.
A tornado warning issued for the area of southcentral Adams County near Bennett expired at 3:30 p.m.
The funnel cloud was spotted and it was confirmed that it touched down. There are no reports of any damage of injuries.
The tornado was near Denver International Airport when it touched down. Operations at DIA were not disrupted because of the severe weather.
The thunderstorm that prompted the tornado warning has weakened and is no longer expected to produce severe weather.
