Suspect In Fatal Wyoming Shooting Arrested In Fort Collins

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A woman was killed and a man was injured in a double shooting in Cheyenne on Sunday afternoon.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports the suspect — 26-year-old Daniel Guajardo — was arrested in Fort Collins, Colorado on Sunday night.

Police in Cheyenne say the shooting was reported shortly after 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Lt. Rob Dafoe says officers arrived to find 26-year-old Janessa Spencer dead. He says 24-year-old Sam Cook was shot. KGWN-TV in Cheyenne reports Cook was hospitalized in stable condition Sunday evening with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

Dafoe says officers are still trying to determine what led to the shooting. He says the suspect was a former resident of the house where the shooting took place.
