$2,000 Reward Offered For Information About Deadly Hit & Run
DENVER (CBS4)- Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information to help solve a deadly hit and run. David Pickett, 50, was riding his bicycle to work Monday when he was hit by a vehicle.
It happened near 46th and Josephine in northeast Denver at about 5:15 a.m. Officials said they have no description of the vehicle that struck Pickett. Investigators hope security video from a nearby business will help identify the vehicle that struck Pickett.
Two truck drivers for Coca-Cola were driving by and saw Pickett's body and bicycle in the street and alerted police.
Police believe Pickett was heading eastbound on 46th and the vehicle was heading north on Josephine through the intersection.
Pickett worked for AT&T with his brother, which is about 6 blocks away from the accident scene.
