DENVER (CBS4)- Denver is considering a ban on plastic bags. The Denver City Council discussed a proposal to ban plastic bags.

The council discussed the proposal but said that there would need to be clarification with a Colorado law that states local governments cannot ban the use or sale of plastic products. The city also wants to take a look at the impact on businesses.

Aspen banned plastic bags several years ago.
