Pedestrian & Cyclist Deaths On The Rise In Colorado
DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver Post has reported that pedestrian and cyclist deaths are on the rise in Colorado.
Overall traffic deaths in the state are down 44 percent since 2002, but deaths of pedestrians are up nearly 10 percent, and cyclist deaths rose 44 percent.
There's a spike in Denver hit-and-runs as well -- up 55 percent every year for the last four years.
The Colorado Senate's Transportation Committee is looking into the data but says funds to the fix the problem are hard to come by.
