Parks And Wildlife Commission Reviews Trail Plans

PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) — The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission is reviewing funding for motorized and non-motorized trail projects over the next year and a half.

More than 160,000 motorized vehicles were registered during the 2010-2011 season. They are funded with revenues generated by an annual $25 user permit.

Non-motorized trail projects recommended for approval include a proposal to extend the Colorado Riverfront Trail in Fruita and the Regional Fourteener Trail Maintenance Project, which will improve 34 miles of some of Colorado's high-elevation hiking routes.
