Motor Vehicle Titles Stalled By Computer Problems
DENVER (AP) - Colorado's state motor vehicle titling and registration computer system will be offline for a second week.
The state started using a backup computer system in February after the primary server quit working and then the backup system crashed around March 18.
Department of Revenue spokesman Mark Couch says the goal was to have the system running by now, but it likely will be offline for another week.
That means vehicle owners can't get their titles at the local Division of Motor Vehicles office. State officials say titles will be printed and mailed to owners when the system is working.
