Mark Your Calendar For A Special Total Lunar Eclipse In September
DENVER (CBS4) - There will be a rare treat in the sky during late September and it will happen during a time when you won't have to stay up late to see it!
A total lunar eclipse will grace the skies on September 27, 2015 and feature a Supermoon.
In Denver the eclipse will begin at 7:07 p.m., max out at 8:47 p.m., and end at 10:27 p.m..
The upcoming eclipse is a special one because it is the fourth and final of a tetrad, a series of four eclipses.
The Denver Astronomical Society will be hosting a public viewing at DU's historic Chamberlin Observatory.

If you miss this eclipse you will have to wait awhile to see another. The next total lunar eclipse visible in Denver will happen on Jan 31, 2018.
