Man Disemboweled During Stabbing

PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - Pueblo police say a warrant has been issued for a suspect after a 35-year-old man was disemboweled during a stabbing after leaving a bar where he had been involved in a scuffle.

Police Sgt. Eric Bravo says Jesus Gutierrez was stabbed in the abdomen during the fight on Sunday. Bravo said crime scene officers recovered the man's stomach, but doctors said it could not be reattached.

Capt. Tom Rummel said the victim was in serious condition at Parkview Hospital. A hospital spokeswoman said she had no information on Gutierrez.

Bravo said a warrant for attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault was issued for 22-year-old Shereen Nieves.
