Man Charged With Bias-Motivated Crime In Denver
DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver district attorney has formally charged a man with assault and bias-motivated crime in connection with an incident that happened last Tuesday.
The incident happened in the 2800 block of Magnolia Street. Christopher Bollnow, 40, is charged with one count of second-degree assault, three counts of menacing, and one count of bias-motivated crime.
Police said Bollnow, who is white, confronted two 30-year-old men and pulled a gun on them.
"The charges further allege he made racial comments and then attacked one of the victims causing lacerations to his head. The victims are black," Lynn Kimbrough with the district attorney's office said in a statement.
Bollnow is free on a $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
