Loaded Pistol Clip Forces School Lockdown

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4) - A loaded pistol clip discovered at Adams City High School in Commerce City sent police on a lengthy search Wednesday.

The school was put on lockdown starting about 7:30 a.m.

Adams County sheriff's deputies along with state troopers and police officers from several cities searched the school for a potential gun for several hours.

The loaded clip was found in one of the classrooms.

About 1,700 students attend the school. They were kept inside the building during the search.

School should be back to normal on Thursday.
