Lithium-ion battery catches fire while charging in an Aurora garage, causes smoke damage
Firefighters in Colorado say a lithium-ion battery caught fire while it was charging in a garage on Tuesday afternoon. It happened at about 5 p.m. in Aurora on Cornell Avenue near Tower Road.
The battery was not connected to a vehicle, but it caused enough smoke damage that the two adults who live in the home were forced to find somewhere else to stay overnight.
No one was hurt.
