Weather Cooperates for the Last Week of Shopping

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - After a bitter cold weekend with a high of only 3 degrees on Saturday (the low was a record 15 degrees below zero)and a bit better on Sunday as we reached 17 degrees...on Monday the official high reached 43...but the downtown location reported 52 degrees!

For Tuesday, we can expect more of the same: partly cloudy with a high in the low 50s. The mountains could see a little light snow or snow shower activity Tuesday late Tuesday into Wednesday. Cooler - but seasonal - in Denver for Wednesday with a high in the low 40s under partly cloudy skies. Then little change as we head toward the end of the week: partly cloudy Thursday, high in the mid 40s; partly cloudy Friday, back in the mid 40s.

Then Saturday, Christmas Eve, as well as the start of Chanukah at sundown, there appears to be a weather system that may just bring some light snow or snow showers to Denver on Christmas Eve into early Christmas Day! This system could also bring good snow to the mountains.
