More Spring Storms On Wednesday
By Lauren Whitney
DENVER (CBS4) -
After a very active Memorial Day Monday, a calmer Tuesday for most of Colorado. There were still plenty of strong storms, some even turning severe, on the far eastern plains. These storms were fewer in number, and not quite as intense as Monday.
The National Weather Service officially said we had 14 tornadoes in eastern Colorado between 5:00 and 6:30 pm on Monday. Washington County had seven of those tornadoes.
Highs today climbed to the mid 70s after a sunny start to the day.
Wednesday more storms are possible, some potentially turning severe, even here in the Denver area. Storms could produce hail and strong winds.
After Wednesday, we start a very dry and warm weather pattern heading into the late part of the week and weekend. We could hit the low 90s again by Thursday.
