The Heat Holds On With Just A Few Storms
DENVER (CBS4) - The combination of a weak cold front and warm, moist monsoon flow kicked of several severe storms Sunday afternoon and evening. Denver International Airport clocked a 74 mph wind. Areas in and around east/central Adams and Arapahoe counties had some wind damage reported. Several areas had flooding issues with the city of Fort Morgan being one of those where a flood advisory had to be put in place for heavy rain. Along with strong winds and heavy rains a few of the storms produced quarter to ping-pong ball size hail.

Monday should be a couple of degrees cooler with fewer storms then, the heat will ramp up into the middle 90s for most of the week. There will be a small chance for a few storms at the beginning and the end of the week ahead.
